What 2 Look 4 Week 10 of the season (See Schedule, Photos)
The theme this week is district championships and potential tiebreaking shootouts.
Blountstown (7-1, 4-0 District 2-1A) and Chipley (4-4, 1-1 District 1-2B) both can win respective crowns with victories. Blountstown is at Liberty County (7-1, 3-1) and Chipley is at Pensacola Catholic (7-1, 2-0).
Both Blountstown and Chipley are still in good shape with losses. Defeats by both teams, plus a Port St. Joe win over Wewahitchka, will create two three-way ties for playoff spots on Monday.
In 1-2B, Pensacola Catholic would win the district title with a win, leaving Chipley, Walton and Marianna all at 1-2 in the grouping and playing for the runner-up spot next week.
In 2-1A, Blountstown, Port St. Joe and Liberty County could be tied at 4-1. Those teams would play for both first place and second, with one team being left out. All of this is moot with a Blountstown win, which would give the Tigers the title and Port St. Joe second, win or lose, because the Tiger Sharks own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bulldogs.
Mosley (3-4, 0-2) also could be in a playoff if it defeats Fort Walton Beach (4-3, 1-1) and if Niceville beats Crestview.
All tiebreakers will be hosted by the team with the better overall record.
