Marianna's Gibson named first-team all-state

Dockery, Wade also earn honors

Marianna's Brandon Gibson was named first-team all-state on the Florida Sports Writers Association Class 3A boys basketball team released Tuesday. The 6-foot-5 Gibson averaged 18 points per game and 8 rpg for the Bulldogs last season in leading them to the state Final Four for the first time since 1985.

Holmes County guard Brock Dockery, 6-6, who averaged 25 ppg and won the state 3-point shooting contest, was named honorable mention in 3A. Bay forward Jay Wade, 6-6, who averaged 16 ppg, earned an honorable mention nod in 4A.
