What to watch for this summer on PanhandleVarsity.com
Summer is here, but that doesn't mean it will be quiet at PanhandleVarsity.com.
We will unveil a new special section to fill the void caused by the lack of high-school sports and to also serve as a companion to our coverage throughout the year when preps kick back into gear.
It's called "From the Past" and will include archived articles on some of the top happenings in high-school sports from, you guessed it, the past. This will include all sports, such as football, baseball and basketball.
This is in addition to the 2009 Football Rewind, which will cover how each area district played out and recaps how each team did in the playoffs. Last year's recap proved to be a popular item, with links to standings, player profiles and more archived stories.
The special section will be up on PanhandleVarsity within the next few weeks. The 2009 Football Rewind will start in late-June or early-July.
