Bay searching for volleyball, softball coaches
Comments 0PANAMA CITY — Bay High School is searching for two head coaches.
Athletic Director Glenn Manley announced during the week that positions are available for volleyball and softball. The openings will be advertised through the school for five days starting on Monday and in Bay District Schools for 10 days after that, but he said he’s also accepting outside resumes should someone within the system not apply.
Sadie Cason stepped down after one year with Bay’s volleyball team. Bay finished 10-14 last season and the Tornadoes were one win away from a regional berth. Manley said Cason, who was Bay’s second coach in as many years, is relocating with her family.
Tian Kuehl ended her coaching tenure at five seasons for personal reasons, Manley said. Bay was 7-15 last season and lost in the district tournament against Pensacola Catholic.
“They both are quality coaches, always displayed good sportsmanship and we hate to lose them,” Manley said. “We’ll find two more quality coaches to replace them.”
Both coaching openings are supplemental positions with no teaching openings available.
Anyone interested in inquiring can email Manley at manlefg@bay.k12.fl.us.
