Region golf: Arnold boys fourth; Mosley's Webb falls short

PENSACOLA — Arnold placed fourth, eight strokes out of a state berth in the Region 1-1A boys golf tournament on Tuesday. Pensacola Catholic won with a 308 total followed by Maclay with 318. Arnold totaled 326.

The Marlins’ scores were Hudson Meeks with a 76, Brandon Webb 79, Allen McClintock 83 and Brandon Chavira 88 at the A.C. Read Golf Course at Pensacola Naval Air Station.

Pensacola Catholic won both the boys and girls titles and Maclay was runner-up in both divisions.

In Tallahassee, Mosley’s Courtney Webb shot an 84 in the Region 1-2A tournament at Summer Brooke. Webb, a junior, needed a par on the final hole to set up a tiebreaker for a state berth but she started with two tee shots out of bounds and couldn’t recover.
