Mosley's Shipman, Daniel advance to regional golf tourney

GAINESVILLE — Mosley finished a well-beaten fourth in the team format, but did advance two golfers in the District 2-2A girls tournament held Monday at the Haille Plantation Golf and Country Club.

Tatiana Pineda shot a women’s course record 63 to pace Buchholz to a whopping 57-shot win over runner-up Chiles in the team competition with Lake City Columbia also advancing as a team with a 397. Mosley was fourth with 469.

The Dolphins did have two of the top three individuals from teams that did not advance. Ginny Shipman and Megan Daniel each carded 106 and will compete in the Region 1-2A tournament Monday at Eglin Air Force Base.
