Regional wrestling: Arnold advances five; Mosley vets shine
JACKSONVILLE — Arnold advanced five wrestlers to state and placed second as a team in Saturday’s Region 1-1A wrestling tournament at Jacksonville Bolles.
It was the first time the Marlins finished as regional runners-up. Clay won the regional title for the 11th straight season.
Arnold’s Joel Ensminger (119-pound weight class) and Jayme Atkins (135) won individual championships. Zane Turnipseed (145) was second, Doug Miner (125) third and Colby Baker (130) fourth to also advance. Taylor Ryan (140), Jimmy Lee (152), Tyler Bragg (171), Wesley Bush (215) and Caleb Clayton-Molby (heavyweight) were one win away from qualifying for state.
Bozeman’s Brandon Reyes (112) and Kris Kenney (160) were third and advanced. Bay heavyweight Tyrell Biggs also extended his season with a third-place finish.

Mosley advances four to state
ORANGE PARK — Mosley’s Jimmy Kahle won the 145-pound regional championship and qualified for state for the fourth straight year to lead a group of Dolphin contenders. Ryan Newsome (140) also won a regional title and secured a state berth for the third straight season.
Forrest Lang (135) finished third and Brady Smith (119) fourth. Both advanced to state for the first time.
Dillon Humphrey (125) fell short of qualifying for a second time. Heavyweight Wes Minchew also was eliminated after four matches.
