Softball: Rutherford routs Bay (See Player Photos)

SPRINGFIELD — The Rutherford softball team rolled to a 12-2 run-rule victory over Bay on Monday night.
Rutherford’s Gina Mathes had six strikeouts and gave up five hits in five innings en route to earning the win.
Chelsea Childers went 3 for 3, Jessica Thornton went 2-4 and Keietta Searles went 2-3 with a double for the Rams (2-3). Becca Taylor had a home run and two RBIs and Amanda Moses went 2 for 3 for Rutherford.
Rutherford hosts Port St. Joe on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
