Baseball: Bozeman rolls: PSJ wins second game

SNEADS — Bozeman backed winning pitcher Brandon Porter with a 16-hit attack to improve to 6-1 in District 2-2A with an 18-2 win over Sneads on Tuesday in high school baseball.

Porter allowed three hits while striking out six in five innings for the Bucks, 7-3. Nick Gutierrez was 2 for 5 with three runs batted in, Brady Oates 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Cole Haus 2 for 4 and Ryan Hardy 2 for 3.

Bozeman hosts Graceville 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Port St. Joe 8, Liberty County 3

PORT ST. JOE — Winning pitcher Austin Howze struck out five and allowed five hits as the Tigers Sharks (2-6) won their second straight game.

Levi Richter was 2 for 4, scored four runs, stole three bases and had two RBIs and JMason Ray was 2 for 4 with two RBIs.

Port St. Joe is at Libertry County on Friday.

SNEADS — Bozeman’s Garrett Hall pitched a complete-game with 11 strikeouts. Brian Mayo was 2 for 3 with two runs scored, Joey Brannen had a double and Matt Hall and Christian Dillahey both were 1 for 3.

Bozeman (9-1-1) hosts Graceville on Thursday.

Bay 2, Mosley 0

LYNN HAVEN — Preston Brown tossed a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts for Bay, 4-3-2. Zach Bautista was 1 for 4 with an RBI double and A.J. Sertalich was 1 for 4.

Bay plays Rutherford on Thursday.
