SAND HILLS — Jessica Harris had two goals and one assist as Bay started the new year with a 6-0 win over Bozeman Thursday in girls high school soccer. The Tornadoes improved to 11-5-1 and finished their District 1-2A schedule with an 8-2-0 log.
Kristyn Guirey had a goal and two assists, Laura Valcourt two goals, Mary Judith Vernon had a goal and Katie Carroll and Emily Brueckner each had assists. Bay plays at Pensacola tonight.

Gulf Breeze 50, Bay 40
GULF BREEZE — Gulf Breeze outscored Bay by seven points at the free-throw line in securing a District 1-5A victory. Shania Brantley had 17 points and Tia Webb eight for the Tornadoes, 5-5 overall and 3-2 in district.
Bay won the JV game 27-13.
The Tornadoes host Arnold on Tuesday.
Fort Walton Beach 33, Mosley 27
FORT WALTON BEACH — Mosley couldn’t overcome an 11-point halftime deficit in District 2-6A. The Dolphins hurt their cause shooting 4-13 at the free-throw line. Mosley, 13-4, 3-2 district, was led by Alexis Ware with 15 points and Deanna Canfield with 13 rebounds.
Mosley hosts Niceville on Tuesday.
Mosley lost the JV game 37-22. Corsha Tibbs had 15 rebounds, Courtney Ramey six points, Caitlyn Levangie five points and Ariel Smith was four-for-four at the line. The Dolphins are 3-6.
North Bay Haven, 51, Bozeman 43
SAND HILLS — Maddy Adams had 17 points and six rebounds as the Bucs improved to 8-1. Lana Abbasi had 12 points and 17 rebounds, Tara Culpepper eight points, Hannah Farris five points, six assists and five steals and Monae’ Gaddis five points. Natasha Beach had 36 points for Bozeman and Hunter Koonce had six points, seven rebounds and three assists.
North Bay Haven is at Arnold 5:30 p.m. Monday. Bozeman hosts Blountstown tonight at 5:30 p.m.
Arnold 49, Rutherford 48
SPRINGFIELD — Samantha Murray scored with 10 seconds left with the winning basket for Arnold, which trailed until the fourth quarter. Nina McClanahan scored 13 and Grace Tennyson 12 for the Marlins (7-10, 5-0 District 1-5A).
Emilee Cook had 17 points for Rutherford. The Rams are 5-8, 3-4 in District 1-5A.
Arnold won the JV game 42-19, as Savannah Adcock scored 15 points. Alayna Kelly and Daneally Bissick each had six points for Rutherford’s JV.
Arnold hosts Pensacola West Florida Tech tonight. Rutherford hosts Niceville on Saturday.
Boys basketball
West Florida 45, Arnold 38
PENSACOLA — West Florida kept Arnold winless in District 1-5A at 0-5 despite 10 points by the Marlins’ Doug Lott and eight by Rob Davison. Arnold is 5-9 overall.
The Marlins won the junior varsity game 42-39 as Joseph Craig had 15 points and 20 rebounds. Arnold’s JV is 5-6.
Arnold hosts Bozeman 7 p.m. Saturday, preceded by its JV vs. North Bay Haven.
Altha 60, Tallavana 41
ALTHA — P.J. Iler ahd 23 points, nine rebounds and two steals for the Wildcats. Will Rogers had 16 points, including four 3-pointers and Kent Rogers had 13 points.
Altha, 5-7, plays at Liberty County today at 6:30 p.m. CST.
Rocky Bayou 71, PDL 43
NICEVILLE — Zach Johnson had 17 points for Ponce de Leon but it wasn’t nearly enough to deprive Rocky Bayou of its first win of the season. Graham Pierce had 17 points for Rocky Bayou, 1-11.
