PENSACOLA — Bay completed its regular season with a sweep, the girls improving to 3-8, 3-6 in district and the boys to 7-4, 6-3.
The Tornadoes compete in the district tournament Wednesday at the University of West Florida.

CRAWFORDVILLE — Austin Howze was the losing pitcher and J Mason Ray was 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Tiger Sharks.

VERNON — Matt Hall tossed a four-hitter with eight strikeouts to improve to 4-4. Nick Gutierrez was 3 for 4 with three runs, Ryan Hardy 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and A.J. VanSlyke, Joey Brannen and Logan Strausbaugh each had two hits.
The Bucks, 9-8, 8-1 in district, hosts Holmes County on Thursday.
Softball

SPRINGFIELD — Gina Mathes struck out six, Paige Williamson had a single and double, Jessica Thornton had two singles, Becca Taylor a single and double and Amanda Moses two singles for Rutherford.
The Rams, 9-8, play a district game at Wakulla on Friday.
Bay 2, Catholic 1
PANAMA CITY — Abi Burnett pitched a three-hitter for Bay. Jayden Stansberry was 1 for 1 and Burnett and C.J. Brantley each were 1-3.
The Tornadoes played flawless defense in the field to back up two first-inning runs.
Bay, 5-8, 3-3 in the district, hosts Freeport on Thursday.
Bozeman 5, Walton 0
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — Eighth-grader Brettni Barnes pitched five shutout innings for the win with Brittany Benefield finishing up in the circle. Becca Hall had three hits and three runs for the Bucks and Kinsley Faulkenberry and Nicole Migliori each had two hits.
Bozeman, 12-7, 8-4 district, plays at South Walton on Tuesday.

VERNON — Ashley Davis had three hits for Bozeman in the District 2-2A loss. Brittany Benefield pitched all nine innings for the Bucks, and she struck out four and walked six. Nicole Migliori was 2 for 3 for Bozeman.
