PANAMA CITY BEACH — Arnold swept visiting Rutherford in a District 1-2A high school tennis match on Monday.

The Arnold girls won 7-0 in improving to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the district. The boys won 4-3 with wins in 3 of 5 singles match to move to 3-4, 2-3.

Blountstown 11, East Gadsden 1

QUINCY — T.J. Granger struck out three in three innings for the win and he was 2 for 3 with a walk in Blountstown’s run-rule win. Anthony Curry was 2 for 3 with a double, Jordan Swinehart had a double and two walks and Garrison Bailey finished up on the mound for the Tigers (4-4), who host Vernon tonight at 6 p.m.

Wewahitchka 4, Graceville 3

GRACEVILLE — Wewahitchka scored three runs in the fifth inning to seal the victory. Heath Bailey was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Taylor Husband drove in two runs and Justin Flowers was 2 for 3 for Wewa. Bailey took the win in relief of Flowers with five strikeouts in three innings. The Gators (7-2) host Liberty County at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Softball

Dothan Northview 12, Mosley 0

LYNN HAVEN — Ashley Welch, Brooke Wilke, Andrea McKenzie, Morgan Walters and Jill Johnson each had a hit for Mosley in the run-rule loss. Emily Locher was the losing pitcher for the Dolphins (5-6), who hosts Fort Walton Beach at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Mosley won the JV game 7-6. Athena Kratsas, Ashley Beason, Mallory Harrigill and Kinzie Harrington each had two hits and Katie Lopes was the winning pitcher with 11 strikeouts.
