COTTONDALE — Jordan Worthing was 3 for 4 with a grand slam to pace Holmes County to a 17-2 run-rule win over Cottondale in a high school baseball game on Thursday.
Zach Nolin was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Cody Russ hit a leadoff home run for Holmes County. Will Thompson pitched four innings, while giving up one hit for the victory.
The Blue Devils (2-1, 1-0 District 2-2A) are at Graceville on Monday.

ALTHA — Taylor Mauck was 3 for 4 with a double and Hunter Jordan, C.J. Granger and P.J. Buggs each had hits for Blountstown. Harrison Coley gave up one hit and had one strikeout in improving to 2-0. The Tigers (2-1), host Bozeman today.

BONIFAY — Selina Long was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts, Sarah Pippin had the save with five strikeouts, Ciara Jones was 2 for 4 with two runs scored, Jenna Belser 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Pippin 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI and Long 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for the Blue Devils (6-1, 5-1 District 2-2A), who are at Freeport on Monday.
