Panhandle Track Team wins four events
Comments 0 | Recommend 0TALLAHASSEE - Terrance Lowder led a 1-2 finish for the Panhandle Track Club in the intermediate boys 400 meters on Sunday at the Southeast Sports Festival at Florida State University. Lowder won the event in 50.76 seconds, followed by teammate Eddie Williams III in 53.73.
The track club won four events on Sunday, including the 4x400 relay in 3:50. Runners were Lowder, Williams, Deonte Dunklin and Demetrius Barnes.
Dunklin also won the intermediate boys high jump at 5 feet, 6 inches.
The other winner was Jamari Hughes in the intermediate boys 200-meter dash in 27.62. Barnes was third in 23.53.
Other boys placers included: Gabriel Holguin, second in the young men 1,500 meters (4:23); Ryan Singleton, third in the young men 1,500 meters (4:26); and Jonathan Mello, third in the bantam 1,500 meters (6:24).
Meanwhile, the intermediate girls 4x400 relay team finished third (4:48) with runners Kayla Cramer, Alexis Godine, Meagan Thorpe and Jasmine Threatt.
Lavin Lahondra finished fourth in both the young women 100 meters (13.5) and 200 meters (28.8).
