PSJ's Walker leads locals at FSU Relays
TALLAHASSEE — Megan Walker of Port St. Joe won the girls pole vault to lead area performances in the FSU Relays track and field meet that concluded on Saturday. Walker cleared 11 feet, 6 inches and won on fewer misses.
Other area athletes who scored points in their events included: Kyree Baxstresser, Bay, eighth in triple jump 41-6¼; Thomas Williams, Bay, third in discus 150-0; Leander Ford, Graceville, fifth in discus 140-2; Shytiarra Webb, Bay, second in shot put 39-11; Jessica Mcclendon, Graceville, fourth in shot put 36-5½; Anissa Martin, Bay, fifth in shot put 35-5; Mychea Williams, Graceville, fourth in 100 meteers 12.39; Jamari Hughes, Arnold, fourth in 100 meters 10.96; Demetrius Barnes, Bay, eighth in 100 meters 11.05; Deonte Dunklin, Bay, fifth in high jump 6-2; Sage Guillory, Bay, sixth in high jump 6-2; Anissa Martin, Bay, seventh in discus 97-5 and Kevin Potts, Graceville, fourth in 400 meters 49.26.
Bay had two girls relays place and Bay and Arnold each had one boys relay score. In the girls 4x400, Alexis Goodine, Kianna Patton, Diamond Oliver and Kayla Cramer ran 4:05.45 to place fifth for the Tornadoes. In the girls 4x100, Patton, Oliver, Cramer and Mykeese Edwards were eighth in 50.45. In the boys 4x400, Chancellor Mason, Griffin Rowe, Eddie Williams and Alex Hyman were timed in 3:28.10 to place sixth for Arnold and Emery Coleman, Barnes, Dunklin and Moses Bogere ran 3:32.51 for Bay to place eighth.

PORT ST. JOE — Roman Quinn was 2 for 2 with a double and four runs scored and Austin Howze 2 for 3 with five RBIs to lead the Port St. Joe onslaught. C.J. Butts was 3 for 3 and JMason Ray 2 for 3 with two RBIs. Ray also tossed four innings with six strikeouts for the win. Port St. Joe (7-6) is at Wakulla on Tuesday.
