Prep roundup (Oct. 14): Mosley beats Rutherford in volleyball

SPRINGFIELD - Mosley totaled 14 service aces and 81 digs in a 3-1 win over host Rutherford.

The Dolphins (17-4 overall, 5-0 in the county) won 25-10, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Mosley's Megan Williams had four blocks, eight kills, 11 service points, five aces; Anny Delaney had 19 assists and 15 digs, Kelsey Bell nine kills and 14 service points; Deanna Canfield had eight kills, 16 assists, 20 digs, four aces, Cayce May five kills, 11 digs and 11 service points.

The Dolphins host Tallahassee Chiles for the third seed in District 2-5A on Thursday night (JV at 4 p.m. and varsity at 5:30 p.m.).

Rutherford's Skylar Taggart had nine service points, 14 digs and three kills, Jackie Kuzniar had seven points, five aces, 14 digs, five kills and two blocks while Caitlyn Smith had six service points and 14 digs.

Rutherford (12-10) hosts Port St. Joe on Thursday.

The Mosley junior varsity (9-7) won 18-25, 25-10, 17-15 over Rutherford.

Amanda Singletary led Mosley with and three aces while Tasha Trzaska had 16 assists and Ashley Childs had six kills.

Ashley Farnsworth paced Rutherford with 11 service points, three kills and five digs while Felicia Pitts had six service points, eight assits, two kills and 10 digs.

Arnold 3, Navarre 0
PANAMA CITY BEACH
Arnold's Christen Miller had 19 assists and three kills as the Marlins swept Navarre 25-23, 25-15, 25-10.

The Marlins' Haley Lanier had eight kills, seven digs while Katie Steelman had 14 kills, five digs, one ace and two blocks.

Arnold (17-4) plays at Gulf Breeze on Saturday.

The Marlins' junior varsity fell 25-15, 25-16.
