Prep roundup (Sept. 16): Arnold volleyball defeats Godby

PANAMA CITY BEACH - Arnold improved to 3-0 in District 2-4A with a 25-11, 25-17, 25-17 victory over Godby.
Haley Lanier had six kills, Katie Steelman had eight kills and two aces and Chelsea McLean had five kills and two aces for the Marlins. Maggie Johnson had five kills and three aces for Arnold (7-2).

The Arnold JV team defeated Godby 25-8, 25-23.
Arnold heads to East Gadsden on Thursday with the JV starting at 4:30 p.m. and varsity at 5:30 p.m.

Mosley 3, Vernon 0
LYNN HAVEN
Mosley's Deanna Canfield had 17 assists and nine digs in the Dolphins 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 win over visiting Vernon.

Megan Williams had eight kills, Ann Delaney five kills and 11 assists, Kelsey Bell 12 kills and Mary Ellen Garner seven digs and 13 target services.

Mosley (8-1) plays at Tallahassee Lincoln on Thursday (JV and varsity at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. CDT).

The Dolphins junior varsity (3-0) beat Vernon 25-9, 25-6.
Ashley Childs had five kills, Amanda Singletary four kills, Tasha Trzaska 10 aces and four assists and Haley Brooks five assists.

Middle schools
Volleyball - Surfside defeated Bay Haven 25-12, 25-16, 10-25, 25-7. Leaders: Joanne Booker 9 aces, 12 points, 4 kills; Samantha Brooks 8 aces, 11 points. Next: At Rosenwald today. Rosenwald defeated Merritt Brown 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 16-25, 15-11. Leaders: Tyler Faulds 14 points, Quanatissia Hubbard 11 points, Jayden Stansberry 9 points.
