Hodges, Hyman pace Arnold, but no area runners advance
TALLAHASSEE — Arnold was led once again by its standout runners Mikayla Hodges and Challen Hyman, but couldn’t advance past the Region 1-2A cross country meet on Saturday hosted by Chiles.
Hodges placed 27th in the girls race in 20 minutes, 32.63 seconds, but the Marlins finished 12th behind region champion Jacksonville Bolles. Hyman was 28th in the boys run in 17.20.65. Arnold’s boys were eighth and Marianna 10th behind region champion Jacksonville Bishop Kenny.

GAINESVILLE — Boys and girls teams from Altha and Wewahitchka’s boys team were unable to advance in the meet held on Friday. Jakob Bidwell of Wewahitchka had the best area finish, placing 30ttth in the boys race in 18:56.45. Maclay won the boys team title and Oak Hall claimed the girls crown.
