Prep roundup (3/3)

GRACEVILLE — Logan Strausbaugh allowed no earned runs and struck out four during 6 2/3 innings pitching, and contributed a two-run single to Bozeman’s 7-run second inning, as the Bucks beat Graceville 9-2 on Thursday at Graceville.

Strausbaugh had plenty of offensive help. Ryan Hardy’s two-run home run capped the big second inning, Joey Brannen had a home run, Garrett Hall had two hits and Kegan Lewis had a double. Oh, and Strausbaugh had another hit.

The victory raised Bozeman’s District 2-2A record to 3-0, 4-3 overall. The Bucks host Vernon today in a key district contest.

Blountstown 1, Cottondale 0

BLOUNTSTOWN — Hunter Jordan tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing three hits, while striking out seven, in Blountstown’s first district victory. Jordan was rarely threatened during the game, leaving a running in scoring position only once, in the third inning.
