Bozeman 61, Franklin County 41

BLOUNTSTOWN — Brandon Suttles scored 17 points, including five 3-pointers, to guide the Bucks to a quarterfinal victory. Ben Adams scored 14 points and Herbie Harrell 13 for Bozeman (15-11). The Bucks play the winner of South Walton-Liberty County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in the semifinal with a regional tournament berth on the line.

District 2-6A

Fort Walton Beach 50, Mosley 45

FORT WALTON BEACH — Mosley led 22-13 at halftime, but couldn’t hold onto the advantage in being eliminated in the district play-in game. R.J. Jones scored 11 points and Beau Ruppel nine for the Dolphins, who finished 12-14.

District 3-1A

Sneads 70, Altha 60

PONCE DE LEON — John Locke led Sneads with 21 points in the quarterfinal triumph. Will Rogers scored 29 points and was 8 for 23 from the 3-point line for Altha, while Kent Rogers added 10 points for the Wildcats (13-12).

Softball

Rutherford 8, Franklin County 2

EASTPOINT — Becca Taylor pitched a complete-game two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and no walks to guide Rutherford to a season-opening win. Cheyenne Beck had three singles and Becca Taylor, Curstin Taylor and Paige Williamsen two singles each for the Rams (1-0), who host Bozeman on Thursday.

Arnold 17, Blountstown 0

BLOUNTSTOWN — Maddie Kolovich was 4 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs to stoke the Arnold rout. Sarah Robertson was 2 for 4 with a triple, Katie Godfrey 3 for 3 with a double, triple and two RBIs, Jade Sankey 3 for 3 with a double, triple and three RBIs and Shannon Godfrey also had two hits, including a double and two RBIs, for the Marlins. Delaney Dempsey gave one hit with four strikeouts for the victory.

Arnold (1-0) is at Bozeman today.

Mosley 8, Bozeman 0

LYNN HAVEN — Selena Estrada tossed a no-hitter with eight strikeouts for Mosley. Graysen Gladden was 3 for 3 with a triple and Jill Johnson 2 for 3 to lead Mosley’s offense. Mosley won the JV game 10-9 with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Lexi Kelley, Jamie Carr and Melinda Eggiman had two hits each for Mosley. Carrie Owens was the winning pitcher.

Mosley (1-0) is at Chipley on Thursday.

Holmes County 14, Cottondale 1

BONIFAY — Sarah Pippin had four hits, including a double, and five RBIs to give Holmes County its second win of the season in as many games. Ciara Jones was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Courtney English 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Hannah Prescott 3 for 3 with two doubles for the Blue Devils (2-0). Jenna Sellers was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts and one walk while giving up five hits.

Holmes County is at Walton on Thursday.

LYNN HAVEN — Mosley split with North Bay Haven, winning on the boys side 7-0 and dropping a 6-1 decision in girls play. Mosley’s JV and varsity is at Niceville on Friday.
