DOTHAN, Ala. — Andrea McKenzie had two doubles and an RBI to pace Mosley in the narrow defeat. Brooke Wilke, Selena Estrada and Aubrey Brown had a hit each. Meagan Creel had one strikeout while giving up nine hits in the loss for Mosley (9-10), which hosts Fort Walton Beach April 5.
Mosley won the JV game 9-0. Katie Lopes had 12 strikeouts for the win, Mallory Harrigill had two hits and Ashley Beason a two-run triple for Mosley.

PORT ST. JOE — Dylan Hester was 3 for 4 with five RBIs and Roman Quinn added three hits and four RBIs in the rout. Russell Miller gave up one hit with six strikeouts for the win for the Tiger Sharks (8-6), who host Wakulla today.

PANAMA CITY — Jason Moody and Tyler Barr won their singles matches before pairing for a doubles win to lead the Tornadoes to a victory over Mosley that clinched a county championship for Bay (6-4 overall, 5-3 district). Mosley’s Megan Sizmur and Harriet Wingrove duplicated that feat in the girls’ duel to lead the Dolphins over Bay (2-8, 2-6). The Tornadoes finish the regular season against West Florida Tech at Pensacola Woodham today.

Bozeman wins tourney
POPLAR SPRINGS — Bozeman defeated Vernon 13-7 to win the inaugural Poplar Springs Invitational. Brettni Barnes pitched a complete game with five strikeouts in leading the Bucks to a 2-0 finish in the event. Kinsley Faulkenberry was 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI and Nicole Migliori, Brittany Benefield and Taylor Williams each had one hit.
Benefield earned the win in the first game, an 8-0 Bozeman triumph. Migliori was 3 for 3 with two doubles, two runs and two RBIs and Amber Wade had two hits for the Bucks (11-6), who hosts Vernon on Monday.
