PANAMA CITY — Ashton Hicks scored twice as Bay continued a strong second half of the season with a 5-1 win over Arnold Saturday in a high school soccer match at Tommy Oliver Stadium.
Jardo Wilkins had a goal and assist for the Tornadoes and Connor Healey and Zach Smith also scored. Single assists were by Seth Lippman, Dylan McCormick, Sean Lane and Jacob Wright.
Gunner Thrasher had seven saves fro Bay, 13-5-2, which hosts Choctawhatchee 1 p.m. Monday.
Port St. Joe 7, North Bay Haven 1
PANAMA CITY — The Tiger Sharks ended their regular season with a school best 13-2-1 record and now must await their upcoming District 1-1A tournament at Rocky Bayou on Jan. 24 and 27. Freshman Marcel Duarte and junior Javarri Beachum each recorded hat tricks for the Sharks, with Witt Shoaf recording one goal. Single assists were earned by Duarte, Shoaf and Legrand MacLemore, Cole Cryderman and Beachum with two each. Keeper Walt Bowers, had two saves.

Port St. Joe 8, Freeport 0
PANAMA CITY — Rachel Jones had two goals and an assist for Port St. Joe, 9-3-1. Lexie McGhee also had two goals and Haley Wood, Kathleen Rish, Allie Strippling and Christian Laine one each. Assists were by Wood, Jones and Cailyn LaPlante and Shannon Pridgeon and Strippling each had one save.
Port St. Joe opens district tournament play vs. host Franklin County 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Ryan, Minor place third
SUWANNEE — Taylor Ryan and Doug Minor eached placed third in their respective weight classes to pace Arnold in the Billy Sailor tournament. Colby Baker was fourth, but did not finish his final two matches due to injury. Dillon LaMont was fifth and Reggie Gordon sixth. Matt McIntosh and Kole Krimm were unable to finish the event due to injury.
Boys basketball
Ridgeview 65, Rutherford 50
TALLAHASSEE — Jon Wade had 18 points and Kiki Williamson 11 as the Rams dropped to 12-4. Rutherford trailed 40-27 at halftime.
The Rams play at Arnold on Tuesday.
Port St. Joe 50, Franklin County 43
PORT ST. JOE — Alex King had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead the Tiger Sharks. Kaleb Odom and Natrone Lee each had six points. A.J. Allen had 16 points for Franklin County.
The Tiger Sharks, 6-11, play at Liberty County on Tuesday.

NICEVILLE — For the second straight game, Kirsten Crowley scored Arnold’s lone goal enabling the Marlins to gain a tie. Autumn Jaworksi made 10 saves to preserve the deadlock as Arnold finished its regular season 10-4-4. The Marlins host their district tournament next week.
