Mosley boys win FCA Golf Invitational
PENSACOLA — Jeff Madison and Dalton Humphrey drained birdie putts on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff to help the Mosley boys golf team with the FCA Invitational on Monday.
Mosley, led by Taylor Murphy’s 71, tied Pensacola Catholic with a 305. Murphy’s birdie from 20 feet away extended the playoff on the second hole. On the third hole, Madison and Humphrey secured birdies, Murphy and Mac MacLaren had pars and Dillon Humphrey bogeyed.
“This was a huge win for our team,” Mosley coach Mike Riley said. “Taylor and Dillon were solid all day, leading us to our best score of the season.
“It should be a great confidence builder as we head toward the playoffs, knowing we can compete with all of these teams.”
Hudson Meeks shot a 73 to lead Arnold, which finished ninth.
