Arnold has seven wrestlers still alive for titles
JACKSONVILLE — Arnold has seven wrestlers alive for championships and the Marlins are in second place after the first set of matches on Friday at the Region 1-1A tournament at Jacksonville Bolles.
Joel Ensminger (119-pound weight class), Colby Baker (130), Jayme Atkins (135), Taylor Ryan (140), Zane Turnipseed (145), Jimmy Lee (152) and Caleb Clayton-Molby (heavyweight) will pick up in championship semifinals Saturday at 9 a.m. CST. Doug Miner (125), Keenam McAdams (160), Tyler Bragg (171), Wesley Bush (189) are in the consolation round. Dillon Lamont (215) was eliminated.
The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to the state meet next week.
Wrestlers from Bay, Bozeman, Marianna, Rutherford and Wewahitchka also competed in the 1-1A meet, but results were not reported. Mosley sent six wrestlers to the Region 1-2A meet at Orange Park Ridgeview.
