Softball: Vernon beats Bozeman

Vernon 8, Bozeman 6: VERNON — Vernon scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally for the win. Lauren Register gave up six hits and had nine strikeouts in the winning effort. Register also had two doubles, Courtney Macha and Sam Gipson each had two hits and Joelle Fondo was 3 for 4 with a home run for the Yellow Jackets (4-3, 4-3 District 2-2A). For Bozeman, 6-7, Kinsley Faulkenberry was 3 for 4 and scored a run, Amber Rowan had a double and four RBIs and Brittany Benefield and Nicole Migliori each had an RBI.
