Volleyball: Rutherford falls, Arnold, Mosley win
PANAMA CITY — Becca Taylor had 10 kills and Kaylan Julian seven aces for Rutherford in a 25-23, 25-22, 25-16 loss to Bay in a high school volleyball match on Thursday. Skylar Taggart added eight digs for the Rams (0-2), who are at Wakulla on Tuesday.
Bailey Garner and Lillian Williams each had four aces for the Rutherford JV in a 25-17, 25-22 loss.
Arnold 3, PSJ 0
PORT ST. JOE — The Marlins moved to 2-0 with a 25-10, 25-23, 25-11 triumph. Bella Camperlegno had 15 digs and one kill, Katie Steelman 10 kills and eight digs, Cassandra Ducote 12 assists, one ace, one kill and seven digs and Sam Brooks two kills, 14 digs and two aces. Port St. Joe won the JV match in two games.
Arnold is at Choctawhatchee on Tuesday.
Mosley 3, Liberty County 0
BRISTOL — Mosley improved 2-0 with a 25-18, 25-10, 25-19 win. Leading the Dolphins were Deanna Canfield with 19 service points, five aces, seven kills and 11 assists. Morgan McCabe had seven blocks, Cayce May had seven kills, Lindsey Richardson 10 assists and Brandy Blankenship 11 digs and nine target serve receives. Mosley won the JV match 25-18, 25-15 to move to 3-0. Grace Underhill had eight kills, Makayla Lewis 10 assists, Katie Lopes 10 digs and five aces and Ashley Baber six kills.
Mosley’s home opener is Tuesday against Port St. Joe.
