Baseball: Bay hands Marianna first loss; Register tosses no-no
Bay 6, Marianna 0: MARIANNA — Danny Husum threw a complete-game three-hitter with 11 strikeouts, as Bay handed Marianna its first loss of the season. Kevin Husum was 3 for 3 with two home runs and three RBIs, Danny Husum 3 for 4 with a home run, double and an RBI, Will Parker had a double and an RBI, Chris Tatum had a double and an RBI
The JV teams finished tied 6-6. A.J. Certalch was 3 for 4, Preston Brown 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Trooper Harrison was 1 for 3 with three RBIs. Certalach pitched two innings and Harrison finished on the mound.
Bay (8-1, 4-0 District 1-3A) is at Mosley on Tuesday.
Bozeman 16, Graceville 1
GRACEVILLE — Travis Register (2-1) pitched a complete-game no-hitter with eight strikeouts. Register also hit a home run, Cole Haus was 4 for 4 with a home run and five RBIs, Jordan Hobbs 3 for 5 with two RBIs and Jace Wade 2 for 4 with three runs scored for the Bucks (6-3, 5-1 District 2-2A), who are at Sneads on Tuesday.
Niceville 14, Mosley 4
LYNN HAVEN — Keelin Alsobrooks took the loss, giving up five runs in the third. Mosley also hit seven batsmen, walked six and made three errors. Niceville only had six hits in the win.
Chris Dame had two hits to lead Mosley (6-3, 1-2 District 1-5A).

Maranatha 6, Covenant 5
DOTHAN, Ala. — Against Emmanuel, Parker Sheffield took the loss for Covenant. Sheffield, James Hammons and Dustin Gibson led the charge offensively. Against Maranatha, Gibson took the loss. Josh Bingham was 3 for 3 with two runs scored and Ben Mello, Gibson and Hammons each had two hits for the Lions (0-2), who host J.Z. George of Mississippi on Monday at Cain Griffin Park.
