Mosley
- Head coach: Steve Canfield, third year
- 2007 record: 17-8, 6-0 as Bay County champion
- Playoffs: Eliminated in district semifinal by Lincoln
- Leading returners: Megan Williams (jr. M), Ann Delaney (jr. S), Kelsey Bell (jr. OH)
- Others to watch: Dee Dee Johnson (jr. DS), Morgan McCabe (so. M), Mary Ellen Garner (so. DS), Deanna Canfield (fr. S), Cayce May (fr. OH), Lindsey Richardson (fr. L), Brandy Balankenship (fr. DS)
- Key losses: Kali Amos, Erica Padula, Molly Manual
- Notable: The Dolphins are returning only three varsity starting players from last year's team. Mosley is very young with four freshmen on varsity. ... Mosley competed in a preseason classic on Aug. 30 and on Friday travels to Daytona to compete in the Mainland tournament. The Dolphins compete in District 2-5A along with Rutherford and Tallahassee schools Lincoln, Leon and Chiles. ... junior Ann Delaney led the Dolphins in assists in 2007 and will be sharing setting responsibilties with freshman Deanna Canfield. Junior Kelsey Bell is returning as an outside attacker and was second in kills, blocks and digs as a sophomore. Junior Megan Williams is a three-year varsity player who will be shoring up the middle.

- Others to watch: Bella Camperlengo (so. OH/RS), Tabitha McGowen (so. OH/DS), Lauren Miller (jr. OH/DS)
- Key losses: Kristen Counts, Audrey Farr, Jessica Batte
- Notable: Arnold competes in District 2-4A along with Bay, Godby, Rickards, Wakulla and East Gadsden ... The Marlins open today at home vs. Wewahitchka
- Quotable: "This is a very, very young team from varsity to junior varsity this season. With only two returning seniors, we are looking for a lot of leadership from them. - Others to watch: Brooke Hood (jr. libero), Julie Penewitt (so. OH)
- Key losses: Jackie Varnum (middle blocker), LaToya Kelso (middle blocker/outside hitter), Jennifer Parrot (outside hitter)
- Notable: Bay competes in District 2-4A along with Arnold, East Gadsden, Godby, Rickards and Wakulla ... Bay opened against Wewahitchka Tuesday, and plays its district opener at Godby today.

Bozeman
- Head coach: Roni Ann McKee, fourth year
- Playoffs: Eliminated in district
- Leading returners: Cassandra Crites (sr. middle hitter), Audrey Corley (sr. setter), Tasha Finch (so. outside hitter), Jennifer Payne (sr. outside hitter, setter), Veronica Sizemore (sr. middle hitter, setter).
- Others to watch: Morgan Gilbert (sr. middle hitter), Nicole Migliori (eighth, outside hitter), Sydney Voyles (so. setter), Jessica Walsh (fr. setter)
- Key losses: Kirsten Bohne, Alex Trujillo, Kasey Franks
- Notable: Bozeman plays in District 2-2A along with Cottondale, Sneads, Altha and Blountstown ... McKee is basing optimism on a strong senior class.

Rutherford

- 2007 record: 9-15

- Others to watch: Alyssa Bowen (sr.), Nicole Daniels (jr.), Caitlyn Smith (sr.), Skylar Taggart (so.), Chelsey Childers (fr.)
- Key losses: Kylee Clyatt, Nicole Golden
- Notable: Rutherford won preseason matches against Chipley and Walton. The Rams compete in District 2-5A along with Mosley, Chiles, Lincoln, and Leon.
- Quotable: "I expect to see great things out of this team. They are working hard and are determined to have a winning season. They proved this during our Preseason Classic at Chipley.
