The 2008 Bay County boys swimming team preview capsules:
Arnold
- Head coach: Rock Snow, third year.
- 2007: Place first in district meet and second in regional while setting seven school records.

- Notable: Assistant Coach Lynn Woodrum returns to Bay swimming. Under new leadership, with the addition of strong newcomers, Bay's boys hope to advance through the district. ... Mosley
- Head coach: Sue Cottrill, second year
- 2007: Mosley boys were the Class 2A Region 1 and District 1 champions for 2005, 2006 and again in 2007. Mosley was sixth in the region meet and 40th in the state 2A meet. Last season Mosley broke three school and two county records. Chip Brown advanced to the state finals in 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly, the 200 medley relay of Sean Hicks, Matt Bryant, Brown and Michael Perdomo placed 13th. At the Region 1 Championships, The boys medley relay of Nathan Williams, Bryant, Brown, and Perdomo placed fifth. Garrett Casey placed eighth in diving. Brown was eighth in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 butterfly. Bryant was 10th in the 100 butterfly. The boys 200 freestyle relay of Kyler Hast, Dylan Jestice, Hicks, and Brown was eighth, and the 400 freestyle relay of Hast, Jestice, Perdomo and Hicks was seventh.

- Others to watch: Chet Seaman (fr. breaststroke, I.M.), Brandon Yates (fr. breaststroke, butterfly), Josh Bryant (fr. all-around), Tyler Kent (so. butterfly), Sammy Reyes (so. all-around), Jordan Newman (sr. freestyle).
- Key losses: Chip Brown, Sean Hicks
- Notable: Hill, Ionescu and Williams are captains ... Newman is a transfer from Arnold ... Steve Burdeshaw returns as a volunteer coach with a history in this position that spans 30 years. Albie Durst comes from a college-level coaching background in Pennsylvania and will be coaching divers.

Rutherford
- Head coach: George Klug, second year
- 2007: Seventh in district. In regional, 200 freestyle relay of Jeffery Morrision, Kareem Rifai, Matt Cajote and Matthew Myers placed 16th. Kevin Faulhaber was second at state in the 100 breaststroke and 11th in the 100 freestyle. Top overall team points were Faulhaber, Cajote and Meyers, first through third.
- Key returners: Jeff Morrison, Tyler Beshearse, and Stephen Syfrett, Scott Johnson, Clint Williams
- Others to watch: Byrant Duarte, Nick Machuca, Daniel Peters, Michael Kolbe, Sean and Lindian Steele
